Kendriya Vidyalaya No.-1,A.F.S , Hindan opened in 1970 is one of the institutes run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry Of Human Resource Development. The Vidyalaya's building and its sprawling 15 acres of green tranquility provide an atmosphere for growth of excellence, both quantative and qualitative, in all its streams of Science, commerce andHumanities for its 2500 students and 84 members of teaching and non teaching staff.

The standard of the Vidyalaya has been maintained because of the leader of the team along with the highly qualified, experinced and dedicated team members. Our organisation also conducts Inservice courses for teachers from time to time for updating the knowledge and to aware them with latest methodology and the technology of education. There is a system for an acedemic supervision by the senior educationists, sepcialist and experts to bring about the desired changes in the academic attitude and aptitude of the teachers. To Keep the students abreast with the latest techonology, Vidyalaya has most modern computers along with internet facility. Session of the Vidyalaya starts on 1st April and ends on 31st March including 50 days Summar vacation, ten days Autumn Break (during Dusherra) and ten days Winter Break (during christmas).
